WindhoekDay 1: Arrival in Windhoek
Upon your arrival at the Hosea Kutako International Airport you will be met by your guide and transferred to Windhoek. Here your 4×4 vehicle is ready for your collection.
Enjoy the rest of the day sightseeing in Windhoek and together with you guide and prepare for your safari. Overnight at the Villa Violet, where bedrooms are decorated in a contemporary style with various shades of purple and violet. A healthy breakfast buffet is served in the dining room.

Day 2: Windhoek – Naukluft Mountains
Depart from Windhoek after breakfast and drive to the Tsauchab River Camp, near the Naukluft Mountains. Surrounded by the majestic Naukluft- and Tsaris Mountains, on the banks of the Tsauchab River, the Tsauchab River Camp offers exclusive chalets with a difference.

Spend the day exploring the Naukluft and the surroundings of the Tsauchab River Camp. Various hiking trails invite you to explore the Naukluft Mountains, with their unique Fauna and Flora.

Day 4: Naukluft Mountains – Sesriem Canyon
In the morning proceed to Sesriem, the entrance to the Namib Naukluft Park and the well known Sossusvlei. Visit the Sesriem Canyon, a narrow gorge, only two meters (6.5 ft) wide in some places, formed by the Tsauchab River, before it flattens out and ends in the Sossusvlei. Overnight in the Sossus Desert Camp, only 3Km away from Sesriem, offering luxury safari tents with double roofing, en suite bathrooms, twin beds and granite tiled floors. The tasteful interior decorating reflects the colours of the Namib Desert.

SossusvleiDay 5: Sesriem – Barchan Dunes Retreat
Depart at sunrise to visit Sossusvlei and the Dead Vlei. In these early morning hours the contrast between the red sand dunes and the blue sky are exceptionally crisp. Afterwards your journey takes you to the Barchan Dune Retreat, situated close to the “Rant Berge” Mountains. Personal attention and a congenial atmosphere are guaranteed here. The en-suite chalets are tastefully furnished and offer a breathtaking view into the valley. Spend a relaxing afternoon at the lodge and indulge in a tasty home cooked dinner.

Sossusvlei Barchan Dunes RetreatDay 6: Barchan Dunes Retreat – Swakopmund
Travel through the spectacular Gaub and Kuiseb Canyon and the endless gravel plains of the Namib Desert to Walvis Bay and Swakopmund. Swakopmund is a charming town with many historic buildings and a strong German influence. Meike’s Guesthouse is situated centrally in Swakopmund within walking distance of the town center and the beach.

Spend the day exploring the town of Swakopmund or participate in one of the numerous activities on offer in and around Swakopmund and Walvis Bay. Small coffee shops invite you to sample a good cup of coffee or tea and tasty cakes. Enjoy a visit to the museum and aquarium.

Day 8: Swakopmund – Ugab Terraces
An early start will take you along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean towards the holiday resort of Henties Bay. Continue through the Namib Desert past the Brandberg Mountain towards Khorixas and on to the Ugab Terraces.
The Ugab Terrace Lodge is situated on top of a mountain and on the brim of the plateau offering breathtaking views over the Ugab Valley towards the Vingerklip. The rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished in warm colours. All meals can be enjoyed in the tastefully furnished restaurant or on the big terrace.

Burnt MountainDay 9: Twyfelfontein – Grootberg
Visit the interesting land marks in the area, like the Organ Pipes, the Burnt Mountain, and Twyfelfontein. At Twyfelfontein you will find the most rock engravings and rock paintings in the whole of Africa. The age of this rock art is estimated to be approximately 500 to 10 000 years old. Proceed through the rugged mountain landscape to the Grootberg Lodge, situated on the Etendeka Plateau.
The Grootberg Lodge stands sentinel over the Klip River Valley, with rock and thatch chalets gazing out over the gorge. The lodge is situated in the 12 000 hectares Conservancy, which has been set aside by the #Koadi//Hoas community for conservation and tourism. Various activities are offered this pristine wilderness.

Day 10: Grootberg – Etosha National Park
Travel through the village Kamanjab towards the Etosha National Park and the Vreugde Guestfarm situated on a farm close to the National Park. The peaceful tranquility of the beautiful garden and the hospitality of your hosts will make you feel at home. Delicious home-cooked meals are served in the lapa or in the dining area. Comfortable and rustic accommodation all en-suite with a shower round off your stay here at Vreugde Guestfarm.

Etosha National ParkDay 11: Etosha National Park
Spend the day with game drives in the Etosha National Park, one of the largest game parks in Africa, with 22 912km². The park owes its unique landscape to the Etosha Pan, a vast shallow depression of approximately 5 000km². A series of waterholes along the southern edge of the pan guarantees rewarding and often spectacular game viewing.

Mushara Bush CampDay 12: Etosha National Park
Enjoy another day of game viewing, crossing the park from West to East. Several of the 114 mammal species found in the park are rare and/or endangered, including the black rhino and black-faced impala. Smaller antelopes found here are the steenbuck and the Damara Dik-Dik. Over 340 bird species have been recorded in the park.
Leave the park in the late afternoon and proceed to the Mushara Bush Camp, offering you a comfortable bush-camp experience. The large custom made tents, all with en-suite bathrooms, do you give you the real bush feeling.
Dinners are served in the stylish dining area. Round off the day at camp fire.

Day 13: Etosha National Park – Otavi Mountains
Travel via Tsumeb to Otavi, where the Gabus Game Ranch nestles on the foot Uiseb Mountains. The tastefully furnished rooms and the swimming pool are surrounded by a lush garden overlooking a waterhole, which is illuminated at night. Delicious meals are served in the garden or in the dining room.
