Fishing on the coast of Namibia - Atlantic Ocean
  
Beach fishing and boat fishing are done throughout the year. Species such as cod, blacktail, galjoen (black bream, the national fish of South Africa), rays, steenbras (sea bream) and various shark species are caught from the beach.

From November to April, when the water of the Atlantic Ocean is warmer, the big Copper Sharks will give you an exciting battle.

Fishing from a boat offers species such as cod, galjoen, rays and sharks. Bigger sharks are around
during the summer months (November to April).
From October to December snoek (similar to a perch) is caught 10 to 20 miles off shore. This fish is a strong fighter and great fun to catch.
