| Day 1: Windhoek - Arrival |
|

On your arrival at the Windhoek International Airport you will be met and transferred into town for the handover of your rental vehicle.
Overnight at Pension Palmquell, an oasis in Windhoek, offering first class accommodation, safe parking, a big tepid swimming pool and sauna. All rooms have their own bath/WC, air conditioning, floor heating, satelite TV, telephone, mini bar and wall safe.

Day 2: Windhoek - Kalahari
|
|
Depart to the south of Namibia
via Rehoboth to Bagatelle Kalahari Game Lodge, situated at the fringes
of the Kalahari Desert. The comfortably furnished chalets offer scenic
views over the red rolling dunes of the Kalahari.
A nearby waterhole allows for game and bird viewing.
Optional activities, such as scenic game drives and walks are offered by
the lodge.

Day 3: Kalahari – Fish River Canyon
|
|
Proceed to the Fish River Canyon, a most spectacular geological phenomena, situated in the lower reaches of Namibia's longest river, the Fish.
Overnight at the Caňon Roadhouse, situated close to the entrance of the Fish River National Park. The Roadhouse offers accommodation in 8 tastefully furnished en-suite rooms, a romantic a la cart restaurant, the fully licensed "Wheels Bar", a sparkling swimming pool and a well equipped service station.

Day 4: Fish River Canyon

Today you have the opportunity to visit the Fish River Canyon and to take part on the optional activities offered by the Roadhouse.

Day 5: Fish River Canyon – Diamond Restricted Area - Lüderitz
|
|
Proceed through the Restricted Diamond Area to Lüderitz, Namibia's most southern harbour.
The Nest Hotel offers luxurious beachfront accommodation in a spectacular setting. All the rooms are sea facing and have air-conditioning, en-suite facilities, satellite television and telephone. Guests can enjoy the sauna and swimming pool, or a sundowner in the Sunset Bar overlooking the bay.

Day 6: Lüderitz - Aus
|
|
A visit to the old and deserted diamond town Kolmanskop is very interesting. (optional)
Drive through the Restricted Diamond Area to Aus to overnight in the Klein Aus Vista Lodge.
The en-suite chalets are built around gigantic granite boulders, each with own lounge and fireplace, private verandah and endless views over the Namib.
The lodge offers optional activities into the area.

Day 7: Aus – Namib Desert
|
|
Today's drive will take you along the edge of the Namib Desert north to towards the Sossusvlei and the Naukluft Mountains.
The Desert Homestead offers 20 chalets with en-suite facilities and enormous windows offering exceptional views of the grasslands and distant Nubib Mountains.

Day 8: Sossusvlei
|
|
An early rise is rewarded with the beauty of the sunrise over the dunes around the Sossusvlei.
The lodge offers optional guided tours to the Sossusvlei, or you can drive there with your own vehicle, making use of the 4x4 shuttle service for the last 5km through the thick dune sand.
Optional activities are offered by the lodge to fill the afternoon.

Day 9: Namib Desert – Kuiseb Canyon – Namib Naukluft Park - Swakopmund
|

Proceed through the Kuiseb Canyon and the Namib Naukluft Park to Walvis Bay and Swakopmund.
A historic 1910 building was renovated and converted into the Hotel Eberwein retaining all of its original charm. The en-suite rooms are tastefully decorated and well equipped with TV, telephone, hair dryer, coffee machine, a mini bar and central heating.
Good restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel.

Day 10: Swakopmund
|
|
Swakopmund is a charming town with many historic buildings and a strong German influence. Many different activities are offered in and around the town. Let us advise you of the different options.
Small coffee shops invite you to sample a good cup of coffee or tea and tasty cakes. Enjoy a visit to the museum and aquarium.

Day 11: Swakopmund - Twyfelfontein - Damaraland
|
|
An early start will take you along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean towards the holiday resort of Henties Bay. Continue through the Namib Desert past the Brandberg Mountain to Twyfelfontein (meaning doubtful fountain). Here you will find many rock engravings left by stone-age artists.
Nestled against a small hill overlooking ancient plains and the typical table top escarpment is Doro !Nawas. The unique lodge design allows for unspoilt panoramic views of this diverse and dramatic landscape that varies from table top mountains to dry river beds.

Day 12: Twyfelfontein – Vingerklip
|
|
Visit the rock engravings, the Burnt Mountain and the Petrified Forest before you proceed via Khorixas to the Vingerklip Lodge, situated in the semi-arid wilderness of the Ugab terraces. The lodge itself is comprised of a cluster of bungalows nestling in the natural contours of the terrain, a main complex housing the dining area, lounge, the “Sundowner” terrace and a sparkling swimming pool.
In the afternoon take a walk to the 35 m high erosion remnant, called the Vingerklip.

Day 13: Vingerklip -Etosha National Park
|
|
Travel via Outjo to the Etosha Safari Camp situated near the western entrance to the Etosha National Park
The camp offers 22 uniquely decorated en-suite safari bungalows, set on the hill of the Ondundozonananandana mountain range. The spacious safari bungalows offer a warm safari ambience, they are decorated with artistically painted floors and metal furniture created by local Namibian craftsmen.

Day 14: Etosha National Park
|
|
Game viewing in the Etosha National Park on well maintained and marked roads.
Located on the eastern boarder of the Etosha National Park, you will find the Mushara Lodge, ideally situated for travelers visiting the park. The thatched main lodge consists of a small library, a bar with an extensive wine cellar, airy lounge with welcoming fireplace for chilly winter evenings, dining area and well stocked curio shop. A feature of Mushara Lodge is the large, tiled, bright blue swimming pool.

Day 15: Etosha National Park
|
|
Enjoy another day of game viewing in the park, which is one of the largest game parks in Africa, with 22 270km². The park owes its unique landscape to the Etosha Pan, a vast shallow depression of approximately 5 000km². A series of waterholes along the southern edge of the pan guarantees rewarding and often spectacular game viewing. Several of the 114 mammal species found in the park are rare and/or endangered, including the black rhino and black-faced impala. Over 340 bird species have been recorded in the park.

Day 16: Etosha National Park - Waterberg
|
|
Drive through the Otavi Mountains to the northeastern side of the Waterberg Mountain to the Frans Indongo Lodge. The lodge is tastefully decorated with fabulous attention to details and offers 12 en-suite double rooms. Here you can relax, enjoy an excellent cuisine, have a sundowner drink at the lapa overlooking the peaceful and majestic landscape of thorn bush savanna contrasting vividly with the read sandstone of the Waterberg.
In the afternoon you can join an optional game drive on the farm.

Day 17: Waterberg

Spend a relaxing day on the farm and let yourself being spoilt with tasty meals.
Optional tours are possible from the lodge, such as a visit to the Cheetah Conservation Fund or to a project protecting endangered vulture species (REST).
