Day 1: Windhoek – Arrival – Kalahari

On your arrival at Windhoek International Airport you will be met and transferred into town for the handover of your rental vehicle.
Start your safari to the Eningu Clay House Lodge, situated east of Windhoek.
The unique clay building blends in with the red sand of the Kalahari bush savannah. Eight artistically furnished rooms, a roof-deck with stargazing scope, a pool and outdoor whirlpool ensure complete relaxation. Eningu's cuisine and wine cellar will satisfy the most discerning palate.

Day 2: Kalahari

Head out after breakfast into the fringes of the Kalahari to Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch. All ten luxurious air-conditioned chalets look out over the red rolling dunes of the Kalahari.
The lodge further more offers a swimming pool, a restaurant and a cozy library with a wide variety of books. A nearby waterhole allows for game and bird viewing.
Optional game and scenic drives are offered.

Day 3: Kalahari – Fish River Canyon

Proceed to the Fish River Canyon, a most spectacular geological phenomena, situated in the lower reaches of Namibia's longest river, the Fish. It is second in size to the Grand Canyon, 161km long and 27km wide, with a varying depth of 550m.
Situated within the Gondwana Cañon Park, only 20km away from the Fish River Canyon, is the Cañon Lodge. The 25 thatched roofed, natural stone, en–suite bungalows are tucked between mighty granite boulders, which provide the absolute feeling of living in nature. The welcoming restaurant is decorated in such a way that it tells the tale of the farming pioneers.

Day 4: Fish River Canyon

Spend the day in the area of the lodge, visiting the Fish River Canyon and going on self-guided game drives in the Gondwana Canyon Park, located in what is known as the Nama Karoo. Quiver trees, a typical stem succulent of the Nama Karoo of which several clusters can be found on the plains of Gondwana Canyon Park, forming bizarre silhouettes against Namibia’s blue skies.

Day 5: Fish River Canyon - Diamond Restricted Area - Lüderitz

Today’s travel takes you through the Diamond Restricted Area to Lüderitz, Namibia’s most southern harbor.
Overnight in the Lüderitz Nest Hotel, offering luxurious beachfront accommodation in a spectacular setting, where all the rooms are sea facing and have air-conditioning, en-suite facilities, satellite television and telephone. Guests can enjoy the sauna and swimming pool, or a sundowner in the Sunset Bar overlooking the bay.
Explore this little town with interesting building on rocky hills, or visit the Diaz Point, with a replica of the original cross put up by Bartolomeu Diaz in 1488.

Day 6: Lüdertiz - Aus

Visit the once flourishing mining town of Kolmanskop, now Namibia’s famous ghost town.
The first diamond was found here in 1908. The once large and elegant houses, now scoured and demolished by the wind are gradually becoming enveloped by encroaching sand dunes.
Return through the Diamond Restricted Area, where you might encounter some of the feral horses, to Klein Aus Vista near Aus.
Overnight in chalets with en – suite facilities, offering breath-taking views over the endless plains of the Namib Desert. Meals are served at the Desert Horse Inn Restaurant.

Day 7: Aus – Namib Desert

Proceed through the Namib Desert to the Sossusvlei Wilderness Lodge, near the entrance to the Namib Naukluft Park and the Sossusvlei.
This exclusive lodge is tucked away between the desert and the foothills of the Naukluft Mountains. A wooden walk joins the Chalets, which were built from wood and natural rock with thatched roofs, and the bar, verandah and the restaurant with each other.
Enjoy a afternoon scenic drive in the private nature park and watch the sun set over the gravel plains and the jagged Naukluft and Nubib Mountains.

Day 8: Sossusvlei

An early rise is rewarded with the beauty of the sunrise over the dunes around the Sossusvlei, a dry clay pan surrounded by the highest dunes in the world.
Return to the camp at noon, where you can spend a relaxing afternoon or join another scenic drive or a guided walk.

Day 9: Namib Desert – Kuiseb Canyon – Namib Naukluft Park - Swakopmund

Travel on through the Kuiseb Canyon and the Namib Naukluft Park, via Walvis Bay to Swakopmund, Namibia's main seaside resort. This town is a place of singular charm, nestling between the Namib Desert and the Atlantic Ocean. It has a restful and relaxing atmosphere with lush green lawns, palm trees and carefully tended public gardens. Quaint architecture from a bygone era adds to the time-out-of-place atmosphere of Swakopmund.
The Hansa Hotel offers a relaxed, but personal approach to service. Each of the fifty superbly twin/double rooms and five suites are individually decorated and classic paintings drape the walls throughout the hotel. The restaurant is renowned for its good food and unique wine list.

Day 10: Swakopmund

Join a “Living Desert Adventure” tour, an exciting educational tour that explores the local dunes. Reptiles such as chameleons are some creatures to be found on this exciting tour.
Return to Swakopmund at noon, where you can spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring this quaint little town with a distinct Bavarian atmosphere.

Day 11: Swakopmund - Twyfelfontein

Depart via Hentisbay to Cape Cross, here a huge cape fur seal colony is at home.
Continue towards Twyfelfontein, where you will stay at the Mowani Mountain Camp, situated between the Ugab and Huab dry River bed, in the untouched wilderness of the southern Damaraland.
The main living area and the Boma, the Lounge and the Bar are built in an “African Village” style, which means they blend in beautifully with the environment. The “rooms” are huge luxurious tented suites which were erected on wooden decks to offer the best view over the breathtaking landscape and surrounding wildlife.

Day 12: Twyfelfontein – Damaraland

You can spend the day at leisure at the lodge or explore the area around the lodge, visiting the organ pipes and burnt mountain or the rock paintings and engravings at Twyfelfontein.

Day 13: Damaraland - Etosha National Park

Continue your travels towards the Etosha National Park, and spend the night at Ongava Lodge, situated in the 30 000 hectare private Ongava Game Reserve. The luxurious chalets are placed at the foothills of the Ondundozonanandana Mountain Range with wonderful views across the plains below. The lounge and dining areas are also under a thatched roof with a large deck extending out front, over looking the waterhole which plays host to plenty of game in the surrounding area.

Day 14: Etosha National Park

After enjoying a lovely breakfast set out into the Etosha National Park for your first game viewing.
Today’s Etosha National Park was proclaimed as Namibia’s first conservation area in 1907 by the then German government. With subsequent additions it became the largest game reserve in the world, covering a vast area of +/- 80 000 km². For political considerations the size of the park progressively became smaller, reaching its current surface area of 22 912 km².

Proceed east through the park to the Onguma Tented Camp, situated in a private nature park bordering the Etosha National Park. Onguma Tented Camp is a fascinating mixture of sophistication and relaxation, of elegance and the earth. It is this intriguing combination and attention to detail that makes Onguma Tented Camp the ultimate in safari chic.

Day 15: Etosha National Park

Consisting of saline desert, savannah and woodlands, its definitive feature is the Etosha Pan, a vast, shallow depression of approximately 5 000 km². For the greater part of the year the pan is a bleak expanse of white, cracked mud which, on most days shimmers with mirages. In local colloquial language the pan is referred to as the “great white place of dry water”.
Enjoy more game viewing in the Etosha National Park. Every days promises different sightings.

Day 16: Etosha National Park – Windhoek

Depart to Windhoek via Tsumeb, Otavi, Otjiwarongo and Okahandja. A stop-over at the wood carvers market in Okahandja is recommended. You are almost guaranteed to find a small souvenir by which you can remember your tour through Namibia.
The last night is spent at Hotel Pension Palmquell. Hotel Pension Palmquell is an oasis in Windhoek, offering you first class comfort, a secure parking area, a big swimming pool and sauna. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, under floor heating, satellite television, telephone, mini bar and wall-safe.

Return of your rental car and transfer to the airport in time for your departure flight.
